Rev. (Mrs.) Bennita Funmilayo Ajayi holds a degree in Public Administration, an SCQF Level 8 certification (Scotland, UK), and a PhD in Environmental Biology. Her academic and professional expertise covers terrestrial, aquatic, and marine biodiversity studies, fisheries, plankton and benthic analyses, coastal geomorphology, bathymetry, sediment studies, water quality, and ecotoxicology. She began her career with the Dangote Group in Lagos as a Finance and Administrative Officer and went on to serve as Company Secretary of LAKEL Group for over a decade. Today, she serves as Executive Director of LAKEL Group, Life Light Energy, and Jimaj Energy Services, and as Managing Director of Faithful Minerals Mining. With more than 20 years in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), she has led field research, sampling programs, and EIA reviews for the Federal Ministry of Environment (Nigeria) and other organizations. She also sits on the boards of several companies across Nigeria and overseas, bringing her unique blend of corporate leadership and environmental expertise to every role.
