Dr. Lawrence Ajayi is the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and Executive Chairman of LAKEL Group, LAKEL Gateway, Faithful Minerals Mining, Life Light Energy, and Jimaj Energy Services. With a proven career of more than three decades in the oil, gas, and mining industries, he has successfully built and managed companies across Africa, the UK, the USA, and other global markets.

His business portfolio spans mineral mining, construction, book publishing, music production, transport, and agriculture, demonstrating versatility and vision in multiple sectors.

Dr. Ajayi studied Petroleum Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, earned an MBA from London South Bank University, and obtained both a PhD in Divinity and a Doctorate in Business Administration from UBIS, Geneva, Switzerland. He is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner in project management and holds NEBOSH 3 Health & Safety certification.

In addition to his corporate roles, Dr. Ajayi is a global philanthropist, serving as President of the Lawrence Ajayi Foundation, ACMGR, FASSEI, and CFICG, advancing humanitarian initiatives across Africa and beyond.

As Group CEO and Chairman, his responsibilities include strategic decision-making, operational oversight, stakeholder communication, corporate vision-setting, market expansion, and risk management.
